Announcement: PEIRCE STUDIES continues with volume 6.

The Institute for Studies in Pragmaticism at Texas Tech University published numbers one and two; Indiana University Press published numbers three, four, and five. Now, after several years' absence, the series continues, published by The Press of Arisbe Associates (TPAA). TPAA is committed to publishing high quality manuscripts that carry forward Peirce scholarship.

PEIRCE STUDIES Number Six is the memorial appreciation presented at the Peirce Sesquicentennial International Congress on Peirce's birthday in Christ Church, Cambridge. The three main speakers were Willard Van Orman Quine (on behalf of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences), Klaus Oehler (from the perspective of Europe), and Takaski Fujimoto (from the perspective of Asia). Quine's article is likely to become the official NAS essay on Peirce, an early member of NAS. This volume is available from TPAA for $12.95 (hardbound only) plus $3.00 domestic shipping, $7.50 international shipping. Send U.S. funds to The Press of Arisbe Associates, 603 Maybeck Place, Elsah, IL 62028-9799, U.S.A.

PEIRCE STUDIES number seven is now being edited: C. S. Peirce's System of Science. It should be available in Spring 2000.
